It’s always a pleasure and such a priviledge for me when I’m asked back to clients homes to capture their growing family. It was the third time I’d been asked to capture precious moments for this family.
I’ve included some of my favourite images from all three sessions in this blog. Beginning with the early days when they were new parents, 18 months later on a bitterly cold Autumn day to the most recent session, the birth of their second daughter. My aim - as with all my family sessions - is to capture them at ease and relaxed.
When my children were little - and before I became a professional photographer - I purchased a package with a company specialising in family/children photography. The photo’s were nice (and still are) but they never captured them or us. I look back at them now and think what was I doing!
I never have a plan when I arrive at a family session, my style is natural and prop free. Toddlers in particular are always a challenge - but they are full of character. New babies are precious, I let them create their own little baby poses making sure Mom and Dad are close to comfort, settle, and soothe.
